WHO WE ARE
The Explore Hospitality Talent Council of West Michigan works to attract talent, promote the industry and provide training and resources to employers.
WHAT WE DO
Established in 2024, Explore Hospitality is a collaborative initiative developed in partnership with Experience Grand Rapids. This regional council was created with the purpose of advancing the hospitality industry in West Michigan by addressing ongoing workforce and talent development challenges. Explore Hospitality brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including employers, educators, and community partners, to create strategic solutions that support industry growth and long-term sustainability.
To better understand and respond to the unique needs of the sector, the council has identified and organized its focus into five key subsectors: Food and Beverage, Lodging, Transit, Recreation and Entertainment, and Event Management. By aligning efforts within these categories, Explore Hospitality aims to cultivate talent, strengthen career pathways, and elevate the perception and impact of the hospitality industry across the region.
